Tom Hanks, who stars in this weekend's true life tale Sully, is in talks to star in Greyhound. He will write the script and produce via his Playtone production company, according to Deadline.
Set during World War II, the project follows a career officer who is finally given command of a Navy destroyer and fights against his self doubts and personal demons to prove he belongs.
FilmNation Entertainment will also produce the film budgeted in the mid-$30 million range.
