Storyline
Ernest Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition to the Antarctic is an attempt to become the first land crossing of the continent. Disaster hits the expedition when its ship, Endurance, becomes trapped in pack ice and is slowly crushed in 1915. All 27 men on the expedition are ultimately rescued with no lives lost.
