April 21, 2013 • Story selection and rights acquired; idea being crafted into usable script; financing and casting attachments sought; aiming for 'greenlight' Oriental DreamWorks’ has announced an Indiana-Jones-style adventure based on a series of Chinese novels set in 9th-century Tibet. DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said that writing was about begin on the film and he is confident that "we will be able to find a good course to tell a great story and not step on political issues."
Plot: What's the story about?
Set in 9th-century Tibet, Qiang Ba, an expert on the Tibetan mastiff, and his mentor Fang Xin hunt for Buddhist treasures.
