Planes takes off with an international cast of the fastest air racers around, in a comedy packed with action and adventure starring Dusty, a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race … despite his fear of heights. With the help and support of a fleet of new and hilarious characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life.

The project centers on a pot dealer who decides to get out of the business. His boss offers him an opportunity to make some retirement cash by performing one last job—bringing 1,400 pounds of marijuana across the border—for $1 million dollars. The dealer sets about assembling the perfect American family, complete with a wife and two kids, in order to drive the pot across the border in a Winnebago.

The story of a father and his two sons who are all by-the-book cops, but after a young girl is brutally murdered and the main suspect is released due to lack of evidence, brothers Joe and Chrissie Fairburn (Paul Bettany and Stephen Graham) take matters into their own hands in an attempt to coerce a confession. Joe and Chrissie’s father Lenny (Brian Cox), the former chief of police, is a quiet spectator to the fatal tragedy that begins to tear his sons apart.

Murielle and Mounir love each other passionately. Ever since he was a boy, the young man has been living with Doctor Pinget who provides him with a comfortable life. When Mounir and Murielle decide to marry and have children, the couple's dependence on the doctor becomes excessive. Murielle finds herself caught up in an unhealthy emotional climate that insidiously leads the family towards a tragic outcome.
