Wendy Shields is a book editor from New York facing a marriage crisis. Darwan Singh Tur is a driving instructor from India with an abiding respect for tradition. The story of "Cinderella" follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother.
