Where was 'The Favourite' filmed?

The Favourite movie filmed on-location in and around Hatfield House, a 16th century estate in Hertfordshire, England. The historical landmark is about 21 miles from Central London and open seasonally for public guided tours.

The operators of Hatfield House were very happy with how the country house and the extensive grounds appeared in the period film.

"Approximately 85% of the film was shot at Hatfield House and are we are delighted with how stunning Hatfield looks in the multiple scenes. Those visitors who are familiar with the House will notice some significant changes made to the both the interior and exterior of the building. The transformation of the House saw secret passages and doorways being added and King James’s Drawing Room and the Library in particular were subject to a number of additions and alterations."

The Hatfield House has actually been featured in many other films, including Wonder Woman, All the Money in the World, Paddington and The King's Speech.
