"Lucky Number Slevin" is a drama set in a world where African-American and Jewish gangsters collide. Hartnett plays a man who has to kill the son of a rival crime boss. Hartnett's character is caught in a case of mistaken identity and used by the mob boss as a patsy in a murder conspiracy.

A compulsive gambler whose addiction has led him to the streets of Vegas, Nick Escalante takes odd jobs providing “security” to support his addiction. His professional and personal lives collide when his friend is brutally beaten forcing him to take on the mob.

British High Court Judge Fiona Maye is so involved with her cases that she hears that it often strains her marriage. But one case is of particular difficultly — that of a 17-year-old boy who is suffering from leukemia and does not want to be forced to have possible life-saving blood transfusions because it goes against his religion.
