On a vacation in Tuscany, two families – one Danish, one Dutch – meet and become fast friends. Months later, the free-spirited Dutch family extends an invitation to the more conservative Danish one for a holiday weekend getaway at their countryside home. However, it doesn't take long before things gradually get out of hand as the joy of reunion is replaced with misunderstandings. The Dutch hospitality quickly turns unnerving for the Danes, and they find themselves increasingly caught in a web of their own politeness in the face of eccentric…or is it sinister…behavior.

Jim Sturgess will star as a Harvard Medical School grad who takes a job a mental institution which the inmates have taken over and are posing as doctors. He becomes obsessed with the title character (Kate Beckinsale), one of the patients.

But when two subjects, Jeff (Miles Teller) and Lizzy (Jurnee Smollett), form a connection, their path to redemption take a twistier turn, as Abnesti’s experiments start to push the limits of free will altogether.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will play a philosophy professor who becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance of a high school cheerleader. Greg Kinnear will portray the detective assigned to the investigation.

Sleep deprivation and the possibly of post-natal depression takes center stage as a young couple struggles to adjust to life with their new baby. As the mother starts to break down, she begins to feel that there is someone in their house, watching them. The father dismisses her claims to being overly tired, until one evening, he too catches a glimpse of the intruder. Unsure of whether they are being hounded by a stranger or being driven insane, the two of them fear for their safety and that of their new baby.
