The Dragonriders of Pern

Lessa, a young girl, is the only one to survive the assassination of her family, which rules a part of the planet Pern. She disguises herself as a lowly servant in the house of the new ruler but when her telepathic abilities prove to be far stronger than she believed, Lessa finds herself on a journey that will restore the ancient tradition of dragon-riding just in time to fight a space spore.

Here, There Be Dragons

"Here, There Be Dragons" brings together three strangers—John, Jack and Charles—in London during World War I, where they become entrusted with the Imaginarium Geographica, an atlas of all the lands that have ever existed in myth, legend, fable and fairy tale. They end up traveling to the Archipelago of Dreams, fighting the dark forces that threaten two worlds. It is later revealed that the three are future fantasy authors J.R.R. Tolkien ("The Lord of the Rings"), C.S. Lewis ("The Chronicles of Narnia") and Williams, who met in real life at Oxford and enjoyed a competitive friendship.

Logan's Run

Set in a future in which people are executed by the state once they turn 21, "Logan's Run" focuses on Logan, a cop who has to hunt down the people who try to avoid being killed. As his 21st birthday draws near, Logan himself decides that he wants to live, so he goes on the run to find Sanctuary, the mythical home of older people.
