A businessman's wife disappears while on a family holiday to India. His search for her is guided only by the sound of her cries for help from the ether.

A private eye, who has unique gifts that make him suited to solve cases that involve the supernatural, is obsessed with the death of his mother and father who were killed when he was a child. He uses a "black light" to try and remember his past and contact his parents but to no avail. When a reclusive billionaire hires him, all the pieces begin to fit together.

A soldier returns from Afghanistan and plans to raise his 12-year-old daughter in the town of Blackpine. The mining community has fallen on hard times, but he makes a go of it until his daughter goes missing. He launches into a frantic search to find her, and in the process uncovers a conspiracy within the town, with a supernatural twist.
