Jessica Alba (Sin City, Fantastic Four) is in talks to headline a remake of The Eye, and French helmers David Moreau and Xavier Palud may also be directing the film, which is scheduled to begin production this winter.

The Eye is a thriller about a cornea transplant recipient who sees disturbing images in the mirror that send her on a quest to find out what happened to the eye's previous owner.

Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner are producing the remake, which was originally made in Hong Kong by Thai directing brothers Danny and Oxide Pang.

If Alba jumps onboard to star in the movie, it will be her next picture after the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel.
