Years after a cruel kids’ prank during a birthday party for 8-year-old Tommy (Tommy Knight, Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures) left hired clown Richard “Stitches” Grindle (Ross Noble) dead on the kitchen floor, the childhood friends gather to plan a birthday bash to end all bashes. But they haven’t counted on the degenerate jester rising from the grave to seek vengeance on the children who mocked him and caused his grisly, untimely end.

Now Tommy and his teenage friends are on the run from an undead jokester who’s ready to use every trick in the book (and many that aren’t) to exact his revenge. Dead Meat writer-director Conor McMahon delivers a delirious slasher epic, a hilariously twisted and blood-soaked tale of one very bad clown with a talent for making balloon animals – but with one very hideous difference.

The story centers on a road trip through New York featuring talking animals, along with an element of social comedy.

Because of people's in ability to quench their thirst for oil and consumption of resources, we basically ruin the planet, and the planet fights back. And part of that is the quick evolution of many of the animals. Takes place in North America, where people are literally living in forts, and the animals are running free. It's not like dogs and cats are killing people, it's that the strong have survived. Lions and bears and animals like that have all evolved, and they're slowly eating away at the human population.

O-Six, in some circles, is the world's most famous wild animal. The female alpha wolf, which is named after the year she was born, is collared and tracked by researchers at Yellowstone National Park, gaining a huge following from not only scientists but the public as well. She is shot by a hunter in 2012 just outside the park's boundaries, an act that causes howls around the country (she even got an obituary in The New York Times) despite it being legal — wolves are scaled back from endangered species' lists, so there are new population control measures in place.

The film centers on Barney Thomson (Carlyle), an awkward, shy Glasgow barber, living a life of desperate mediocrity. After it is killed in a bullfight, a bull's body parts are transported across Europe, in Spain, France, Italy and Belgium, with this ensemble drama showing us the people who are the recipients of the remains in one way or another, like an Italian actress (Chiara Mastroianni) selling the bones in a supermarket promotion, a Spanish woman (Angela Molina) who dines on its steaks, a little girl (Raphaelle Molinier) in northern France who imagines a world where animals are much larger than humans, and a taxidermist (Jacques Gamblin) whose wife is simultaneously giving birth to quintuplets.
