Hugh Jackman will play the imaginary friend of a lonely 6-year-old who has been left behind by his mother and is being raised by his aunt. The twist: The aunt can suddenly see the imaginary friend, and a romance blossoms between them.

A gifted child raised in the Philadelphia projects earns an Ivy League education but returns to the inner city to become an elementary school principal. There, he revives the troubled school's long-dormant chess club and helps the team go all the way to the national championships.
