The story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. The story begins with the boys learning about the Covenant and how to use their powers. During that summer of fun and experimentation, they unknowingly release an evil out into the world. Four years later, the Covenant has to stop the menace they unleashed.

A DEA agent's (John Travolta) latest assignment is to investigate the bizarre disappearance of an Army drill instructor (Samuel L. Jackson) and several of his cadets during what was to be a routine training exercise.

Follows six strangers who find themselves in circumstances beyond their control and must use their wits to survive.
