Astro is a robot boy created by a scientist as a replacement for the man's dead son. After going on a Pinocchio-style adventure, he ends up with a new owner and a new mission: to fight evil (in human or robot form) using his many superpowers.

A violent felon nicknamed Animal (Ving Rhames), is released from prison on a technicality. Led to reconsider the futility of the life he is leading, Animal tries to go straight to keep his son from following in his footsteps.

Daredevil cargo pilots, or freight dogs, haul everything from exotic animals to cars and videogames all over the world.
