A man loses everything after a home invasion leaves his family dead and two bullets lodged in his head. Miraculously, he survives and develops a unique power to see into people's past, present and future. With this gift, he goes on a mission of revenge to find the men who killed his family and in the process clean up his city long overdue for justice. Set in the mid-1800s in upstate New York, two young girls, the Fox sisters, are at the center of a haunting. They remain in touch with a spirit that haunts them as they grow up. When they reach adulthood, both girls disavow the haunting, then promptly die mysteriously. Years later, a journalist ventures back to the haunted house and the spiritualist community that sprung up around it to try to figure out what really happened, and is met with terrifying answers.
