In 1955 Detroit, a group of small-time criminals are hired to steal emerging car technology. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them - and for what ultimate purpose - weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

Planetarium is the story of two sisters set in Paris in the late 30’s, Laura Barlow (Natalie Portman) and Kate Barlow (Lily-Rose Depp), who are believed to possess the supernatural ability to connect with ghosts. They meet a visionary Jewish French producer, Andre Korben, (Emmanuel Salinger) who is fascinated by their supernatural gift and hires them to shoot an ambitious experimental film. What they perceive as a perfect opportunity to gain recognition, soon spirals into a game of hidden agendas that tests human limits, social value, and contains themes of anti-Semitism as Korben is ultimately scrutinized by his colleagues for his Jewish heritage.

Another thread traces Tesla’s sidewinding courtship of financial titan J.P. Morgan (Donnie Keshawarz), whose daughter Anne (Eve Hewson) takes a more than casual interest in the inventor. Anne analyzes and presents the story as it unfolds, offering a distinctly modern voice to this scientific period drama which, like its subject, defies convention.

When cowboy Lefty Brown (Bill Pullman) witnesses the murder of his longtime partner — the newly-elected Senator Edward Johnson (Peter Fonda) — he strikes out to find the killers and avenge his friend's gruesome death. Tracking the outlaws across the vast and desolate Montana plains, Lefty recruits a young gunslinger, Jeremiah (Diego Josef), and an old friend, a hard-drinking U.S. Marshall (Tommy Flanagan), to help deliver the men to justice.
