Summer Solstice

Trans man Leo’s (Bobbi Salvör Menuez) life is a jumble of auditions, acting classes, barista jobs, and situationships, all of which he hopes will amount to more. Unexpectedly, Leo’s college best friend, cisgender and straight Eleanor (Marianne Rendón), calls Leo announcing that she’ll be driving through NYC, and offers to pick him up for an impromptu trip upstate. They embark on the weekend getaway, marking their first time spent together since Leo began transitioning. Reunited with new gender dynamics between them, and uncovering problems lurking behind Eleanor’s “well-meaning” façade, Leo and Eleanor navigate how their old feelings towards one another exist within this new context, forcing them both to confront buried secrets and emotions. A modern twist on the buddy comedy from a queer and trans perspective, Noah Schamus’ debut feature SUMMER SOLSTICE is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and coming of age again.

Seize Them!

Brimming with warmth, humour and swordfights, SEIZE THEM! is a comedy road movie set in the dark ages. The egotistical and clueless Queen Dagan is toppled from her throne. She’ll need help to survive as a fugitive and win back her kingdom. With her new friends, a castle worker and a shit shoveler, she begins her quest for justice.

Scrapper

It’s said that it takes a village to raise a child but 12-year-old Georgie (Lola Campbell) has other ideas. Living alone since her beloved mum died, Georgie fills the flat they shared with her own special magic. But when her absent father Jason (Harris Dickinson) turns up out of the blue, she’s forced to confront reality. A dreamy, witty and unmissable tale of family and fresh starts, SCRAPPER is a film that believes life’s not so much about chasing rainbows but snatching fistfuls in both hands.

Santa's Slay

Santa's Slay is an action infused horror-comedy that casts everyone's favorite holiday figure, Santa, in an entirely new and comedically sinister light. WWE wrestling star Bill Goldberg plays the devilish Santa Claus, who rather than being the harmless old fellow we know, is in fact a devil in disguise. The film also stars Emilie De Ravin and Douglas Smith as local teens who must try to stop the rampaging Santa.
