A girl is confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

After Luke Abbate is killed in a car crash, his family donates his organs to five people. His brother, Wake Forest Junior Jon Abbate, begins to honor his brother by holding up five fingers just before the fourth quarter while his parents do the same while sitting in the 5th section of the stadium. News spreads, opposing players and fans begin to do the same and the team goes on to win a record of 11 games and a trip to the Orange Bowl.

A film that asks why the good times slip by so fast while the difficult times seem so sticky. It explores ideas of abundance, emptiness, human connection and abandonment while observing an interweaving web of awkward characters who maintain hope by inventing their own forms of communication and self-fulfillment.

In the autumn of 1975 in Brooklyn, Danny tries to enlist his brother Brian in one last scheme - to rob the Lafayette on the night of the Rolling Stones concert. Danny sees this as their only chance to get enough money to skip town and start them both off in a new life, somewhere far away from Brooklyn.

In the last gasp of winter in a small Northern Michigan town, four high school sophomore boys are living on top of the world. Best friends, classmates, and peers, T.J., Jed, and Brent are all starting players for an undefeated varsity basketball team. Suddenly, the entire town is shaken when T.J. falls into a coma after a drive-by-shooting.
