The Nightingale

Two sisters live in France at the beginning of World War II. The older sister, Vianne Mauriac, says goodbye to her husband, who's heading off to fight in the war. She and her daughter become prisoners in their own home after it's requisitioned by German forces, and Vianne is faced with making impossible choices to save her family. Her younger sister, Isabelle, is an 18-year-old girl who falls for a young man who eventually betrays her. She then joins the Resistance and begins risking her life to save others.

Michael Burrows, a forensic detective in the S.F.P.D. becomes fascinated by the number of "Darwin" deaths being reported. Darwin deaths result when the victims commit a bizarrely stupid acts, resulting in their own demise. Determined to prove a common theme in these cases, Burrows joins forces with Siri, a clinical, no-nonsense insurance investigator specializing in the more bizarre claims. Along the way they come across a parade of unforgettable characters: the speed freak who straps a rocket launcher to his Chevy Impala in his quest to set a land speed record; two guys who decide that dynamite is the fastest way to break through a patch of ice to go fishing; teenagers who will do anything to break into a Metallica concert; and an ad executive who is so confident in the strength of his shatterproof window that he throws himself at it, despite being on the 25th floor.

The Violent Kind

"The Violent Kind" revolves around a group of young bikers who find themselves tormented by mysterious and gory goings-on in a secluded farmhouse. The film centers on a party that quickly turns wild with a typical biker mix of booze, drugs and strippers but shifts into something the likes of nothing they have ever known, including mysterious figures glimpsed amongst the woods, ominous sounds heard and friends found injured.
