Five Days At Memorial

The doctors at Memorial Medical Center, a hospital in New Orleans, are overwhelmed in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina. The staff is forced to make calculated decisions on which patients to save. Some of those who are not expected to make it are shot up with morphine and left to die. An attempt to prosecute a doctor and two nurses for homicide after an investigation show elevated levels of morphine and other drugs in 23 patients who died at the hospital. Of those, 20 are ruled homicides.

Flying Tigers

A volunteer fighter squadron is formed by General Claire Chennault to help the Chinese fight against the Empire of Japan before the United States enters WWII. The aging Chinese planes are no match for the superior Japanese forces, until the volunteers arrive in American-made P-40 War Hawks. The two squadrons fly side by side, in fighter planes emblazoned with the gaping tiger's teeth logo. After Pearl Harbor, the Flying Tigers become an effective squadron in the U.S. Air Force.
