Story is an adaptation of Patrick Jean’s short film, which depicted popular ’80s videogame characters attacking New York City. The movie follows a group of videogame experts who are recruited by the government to help deal with the threat.

Emma Thompson will play take-charge MIB operative Agent Oh, who is monitoring a prison breakout.

Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Two brothers discover an oblong box in the park, which they dismiss as just some dumb old game. The boys turn their attention away from the game's jungle adventure board to discover a second game board inside with an outer-space theme and a colored path leading to the purple planet, Zathura. Mayhem ensues each time one of the boys draws a game card or rolls the dice. Facing meteors and giant robots, the brothers begin to appreciate each other and their sibling rivalry dissolves.

Set against the backdrop of a postapocalyptic Earth whose Eastern Hemisphere was destroyed by a massive solar flare, leaving what life remains mutated from radiation and fallout. The story revolves around a group of treasure hunters who extract such objects as the Mona Lisa, the Rosetta Stone and the Crown Jewels while facing rival hunters, mutants and pirates.

Meteors shoot into the ocean a couple of miles off the coast of Los Angeles. Minutes later, beachgoers witness a strange alien like army oozing out of the water. These aliens are nasty, they're fast, and they kill on site. Within seconds they're shredding the suntanning populace to pieces and moving into the city of Santa Monica. Marine Sgt. Nantz leads his new platoon against a surprise attack on Los Angeles, attempting to rescue civilians in Santa Monica and destroy the hub of the enemy's mysterious power grid, while similar epic battles are waged across the world in other cities.
