Also making an appearance will be Holmes' brother, Mycroft. Noomi Rapace's role is shrouded in mystery although sources say the character may be a French Gypsy. It is unclear if the role is romantic in nature.

The sequel takes on a global perspective with the Ring of Fire. The ring circles the Pacific Ocean with fault lines and volcanoes and is home to about 90 percent of the worlds' earthquakes.

The viability of earth is threatened and a space marine is recruited to help terraform an alien planet for human colonization, only to discover that he hasn't been given the complete story.
