The U.S. Army Special Operations Command creates a pilot program that allows elite women soldiers on the battlefield with Green Berets and Army Rangers in Afghanistan in 2010. The unit, CST-2, brings together a hand-picked group of women from the Army, and that includes 1st Lieutenant Ashley White. White and her platoon mates bond over adversity.
