A vigilante superhero enacting justice is seen through the eyes of a man about to commit a crime.

Set in a futuristic world, most of the human race has been taken by a bloodthirsty virus that leaves them roaming the planet as unconsecrated cannibals. Mary seeks a bigger world beyond the fenced off village of survivors, and the survival of the human race seems dependent upon her success in leading a ragtag group through the dark depths of The Forest of Hands and Teeth.

A single mom juggles the demands of running a knitting store with raising her teen daughter. Her regular customers gather once a week to work on their latest projects and chat. When a tragedy occurs, the customers are forced to realize they've created more than just a knitting club.

A man is falsely accused of committing a crime, so he must go on the run to clear his name.

Set in the 24th Century, a father explains the ground rules for "Jaunting," a form of teleportation the family will be using shortly to go to Mars. The key is that travelers must be under anesthesia for the short journey, or terrible things happen to the mind of those being jaunted around the solar system. Time stands still and one's brain implodes with too much time to think in an absence of external stimulation. Bad things happen.

In 1858, an Italian Jew beomes the center of an international controversy when he is removed from his parents at the age of seven by authorities of the Papal States and is raised as a Catholic. He goes on to become a priest in the Augustinian order.

On a late-night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets fellow passenger Lily Kintner. Thinking he will never see her again, he tells her he's been thinking about murdering his faithless wife. When they land, Lily tells the guy she wants to help, and they form a strange twisted, bond plotting the wife's demise. He doesn’t know she has some experience in this kind of thing.
