Down by the River

The younger brother of a high-level DEA official and former undercover agent is murdered in broad daylight in El Paso, Texas. After discovering the hit was ordered by the drug kingpin across the river in Juarez, Mexico, possibly as retribution for the agent’s past actions, the DEA official heads across the border for revenge — not only against the killers but the DEA as well.

Driverless Car Race

A transcontinental car race with autonomous vehicles originates as a beta test to vet competing software companies that will take the lead on futuristic driver-less vehicles. The trial run devolves into major road race after the competitive nature of the start-ups trumps their altruistic intentions. A simple trek from Paris to Beijing, goes awry as vehicles head off the road and off the grid, getting into all kinds of trouble.
