Rasputin
Rasputin, a Russian mystic, becomes an adviser to the Russian Imperial family the Romanovs. Embraced by Tsar Nicholas II and Alexandra as a healer for their only son, who secretly suffers from hemophilia, Rasputin's influence with the family in all matters grows to the point that rivals try several times to kill him, finally succeeding in 1916.
Vor V Zakone
During the Russian Revolution of 1917, Stalin attempts to exterminate the criminal underworld and fill the gulags with bandits and thugs of every stripe. Rather than weed them out, this effort unites them and creates a hierarchy that continues to this day, with soldiers wearing their rank in the form of tattoos bestowed by leaders from prison. One man, a leader of the Vor V Zakone, rises to become the very person his brethren swore never to serve: the Tsar himself.
