Trapped Cave Explorer Floyd Collins Acquired for Movie Development

Producer Peter R.J. Deyell ("Road to Nowhere") and American Biograph Films have acquired the movie rights to "Trapped! The Story of Floyd Collins" by Robert K. Murray and Roger W. Brucker for an undisclosed amount.

• In 1925, a Kentucky farmer attracts national attention after becoming trapped in a cave. Although volunteers are able to reach him, they cannot get him out. A massive rescue effort continues for two weeks, attracting thousands of spectators, the Nati... show all onal Guard and journalists from across the country. A cub reporter for the "Louisville Courier-Journal" ventures into the cave and conducts a series of face-to-face interviews with Collins.
