A pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua named Chloe finds herself accidentally lost in the mean streets of Mexico without a day spa or Rodeo Drive boutique anywhere in sight. Now alone for the first time in her spoiled life, she must rely on some unexpected new friends -- including a street-hardened German Shepherd named Delgado and an amorous pup named Papi -- to lend her a paw and help her to find her inner strength on their incredible journey back home.

In the not-so-distant future when an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet, scientists gear for a massive organ harvest. A biotech giant comes up with easy organ payment plans, but all financed organs are subject to legal default, including repossession at the hands of repo men.

The film revolves around a strung-out TV producer (Matthew Broderick) who is sent by his wife on a mission to save their niece Amanda (Brittany Snow), who's a hooker and stripper living in Las Vegas

The story follows recently widowed Arvilla (Lange), who is accompanied by her best friends Margene (Spacek) and Carol (Bates) as she takes her husband Joe's vintage Bonneville and heads towards Santa Barbara to deliver Joe's ashes to his recentful daughter, Francine.
