The action sequel is set in London, where the three main characters -- a U.S. Secret Service agent (Butler), the U.S. president (Eckhart) and the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives (Freeman) -- are attending the funeral of the British prime minister. New to the cast will be an MI6 agent, who teams with Gerard Butler's character.

In the five days leading up to Kate Mercer's 45th wedding anniversary, the planning for the party is going well, but then a letter arrives for her husband. Doctors explore ways, including colored light therapy, to ease the mens’ troubled dreams. Jen discovers Itt’s cryptic notebook of strange writings and blueprint sketches. There may be a connection between the soldiers’ enigmatic syndrome and the mythic ancient site that lies beneath the clinic. Magic, healing, romance and dreams are all part of Jen’s tender path to a deeper awareness of herself and the world around her.
