Richard Rider (aka Nova) is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps. He is known for superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight and resistance to injury.

Set in a future where mankind has been enslaved by an alien race, a man born in captivity rises through gladiatorial battles to become the leader of a group of revolutionaries. Called the Freemen, his warrior-slaves unite in an attempt to drive the invaders off the Earth.

Lobo, a large and gruff bounty hunter, roams the starways looking for new work to sink his teeth into. Landing on earth in search of 4 interstellar fugitives, he is assisted by a teenage girl to track them down.

The film will “investigate the dark origins” of the DC Comics character through the prism of horror.
