The beginning of a new Star Wars trilogy will take place 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The new films will feature "a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces" (per StarWars.com).

’71 takes place over a single night in the life of a young British soldier (Jack O’Connell) accidentally abandoned by his unit following a riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Story is an adaptation of Patrick Jean’s short film, which depicted popular ’80s videogame characters attacking New York City. The movie follows a group of videogame experts who are recruited by the government to help deal with the threat.
