Based on Hasbro's line of giant robots that morph into cars, trucks, planes, ships and other technological creations. They are divided into two groups of robots, one led by Optimus Prime, who believes in tolerance and the sanctity of life, the other by Megatron, who espouses survival of the fittest and the extermination of biological life.

Nightmarish fantasies come to haunt Walter, ones that portend terrible fates for his wife as well as family friend Isaac French, placing him on a desperate quest to understand the mysteries of the book. This biopic follows the story of Clifford Irving, who sold a faux biography of Howard Hughes to publisher McGraw-Hill. Irving persuaded the publisher that he'd become close to the reclusive Hughes, and even when Hughes held a telephone news conference to refute Irving's claims, McGraw-Hill stood by him. Finally, the truth came out and Irving was sentence to two and a half years in jail.
