- This would be Andy Serkis' feature directorial debut after directing second unit on Peter Jackson's The Hobbit movies.
- Netflix has acquired the film from Warner Bros. for an undisclosed price and will release the movie next year (Variety, 7/27/18).
- The film will have exclusive limited theatrical engagements starting November 29 in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London. The film will be released globally on Netflix on December 7 and will have an expanded theatrical release in additional theaters in the U.S. and UK (Netflix, 11/8/18).
