The thriller begins when Llewelyn Moss finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and two million dollars in cash are still in the back trunk. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law--namely aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell--can contain. Moss tries to evade his pursuers, in particular a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives, as the crime drama broadens.

"Pathfinder" tells the story of a young Viking boy left behind by his people in North America (which the Vikings had visited hundreds of years before Columbus). Dustin Hoffman plays Guiseppe Baldini, a perfumer, and Alan Rickman plays the father of the girl Grenouille is fascinated by.
