For 60 years, a mysterious monk with no name (Chow Yun-Fat) has traversed the globe to protect an ancient scroll - a scroll that holds the key to unlimited power. Whishaw plays the alcoholic Sebastian, and Atwell his enigmatic sister Julia, between whom Charles (Goode) is caught in a forbidden love triangle. Gambon will play the dissolute patriarch Lord Marchmain, and Thompson his devout and controlling wife.

In an effort to escape her murky past and build a better future, Olive (Milla Jovovich), a nomadic European con-artist, and her 10-year-old American-born son, Bobby (Spencer List), find themselves living in Oklahoma. A family in emotional turmoil is taken by surprise when an eccentric 8-year-old American boy, Wes, has an existential epiphany—He believes that he is in fact a Mongolian goat herder. When Wes befriends a similarly displaced Indian immigrant they both decide it’s their destiny to connect the child’s dream to his reality through the use of crowdfunding. Morris Buttermaker, a former pro baseball player was ejected from the game for attacking an umpire, and now works as an exterminator. More interested in boozing and broads than baseball, Buttermaker is lured back into the game by Liz Whitewood, an attorney whose class action suit has forced the Little League to accept all players, regardless of their abilities. As the new coach of the Bears, the most losing team in Little League history, Buttermaker has his work cut out for him. Initially, he's only in it for the paycheck, but he and his inept players have a transformative effect on one another that is wholly unexpected, and completely remarkable.

While Danny's father and mother independently search for love, Danny is on his own desperate quest to find a prom date. Danny's search becomes progressively more pathetic once he and his family learn that Bart, the school's biggest dweeb, not only secured a date for the prom, but got a hotel room as well.
