Gus and his nerdy buddies, Richie and Clark, are scouted by a millionaire nerd, Mel, who wants to form a baseball team and compete with the meanest Little League teams in the state. Set during World War I, the film focuses on a group of Americans who enlisted in the French military and became pilots before the United States joined the war. They were known as the Lafayette Escadrille.

Cindy Campbell is back in the next chapters of the hugely successful "Scary Movie" franchise, that has grossed over $325 Million domestic and is now under the helm of legendary comedy filmmaker David Zucker. The "Scary Movie" franchise has now branched out beyond parodying horror films and has become the comedy spoof of today's youth and pop culture, attacking music and fashion trends, current events and the occasional celebrity scandal. This time around promises to be the most hilarious and accessible due to an onslaught of successful horror and genre movies released in the last year – including "Dawn of the Dead", "The Grudge", "Ring 2", "The Forgotten", "Freddie vs. Jason", "Saw", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "The Village", as well as Academy films such as "Million Dollar Baby" and "Sideways".

Based on the novel by Peter Mayle, the film is about failed London banker Max Skinner (Crowe) who moves to Provence to tend a vineyard he inherited from his uncle, played by Albert Finney. There he encounters Cotillard's character, a beautiful California woman who says she is a long-lost cousin and lays claim to the property.

Starring Mo'Nique as Jazmin Biltmore, a smart-mouthed aspiring fashion designer, "Phat Girlz" is an edgy comedy about two frustrated plus-size women obsessed with their weight while struggling to find love and acceptance in a world full of "hot bodied" babes. The "Phat Girlz" are thrown a major curve ball when they meet the men of their dreams in the most unexpected of ways.

A New York investigator (Steve Zahn) is sent to Mexico to check out a string of robberies but soon finds himself kidnapped by two beautiful crooks (Salma Hayek, Penélope Cruz).

Set in the turbulent late 1960s and early '70s, "Dreamgirls" follows the rise of a trio of women)—Effie (Jennifer Hudson), Deena (Beyonce Knowles) and Lorrell (Anika Noni Rose)—who have formed a promising girl group called The Dreamettes. "16 Blocks" follows Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis), an aging cop assigned the mundane task of escorting a fast-talking, wise-cracking young witness (Mos Def) to the courthouse—sixteen city blocks away—and the action-packed thrill ride that takes place in those "sixteen blocks."

The movie is a celebrity version of Garrison Keillor's radio show. It adds a slight story of the radio show ending as a new owner (Tommy Lee Jones) has bought the Fitzgerald theater that the show broadcasts from and is going to tear it down. Another fantasy element is thrown in as an angel (Virginia Madsen) stalks the theater to take one of the performers. Keillor plays the lead character, coincidentally called GK. Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep play the singing Johnson Sisters, with Lindsay Lohan as a suicide-obsessed daughter of Streep. Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly are hilarious as the slightly off-color singing cowboy duo, Dusty & Lefty. Kevin Kline is a security guard who tells the story. Maya Rudolph also appears as a pregnant stage coordinator. Contains some mild sexually-oriented jokes.

Three actors learn their respective performances in the film "Home for Purim," a drama set in the mid-1940s American South, are generating award-season buzz.
