The film will center on Rather’s 2004 report on CBS’ “60 Minutes Wednesday”about a series of memos critical of President George W. Bush’s Texas Air National Guard service record that had been discovered in the files of the president’s former commanding officer. The authenticity of those documents was called into question, which led to claims that the memos were forgeries.

When members of a religious cult known as Heaven's Veil take their own lives, the truth behind what really happened remains buried deep in the memory of the sole survivor, a five-year-old girl. Thirty years later, the girl returns to the compound with a documentary crew as an adult. They soon discover something that is far more terrifying than anything they could have imagined.

Martyrs is the story of ten-year-old Lucie who flees from the isolated warehouse where she has been held prisoner. The original documentary was a behind-the-scenes look at the Bolivian presidential election of 2002, when candidate Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada (aka Goni) hired James Carville's Washington-based political consulting firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner to help him win. Goni's poll numbers were dismal, with Bolivians accusing him of being too closely aligned with U.S. interests. Employing the same tactics they do in the U.S., Carville -- who himself flew in -- and his team used focus groups, sloganeering and smear tactics. Goni won by a narrow margin, but the work had only just begun for Carville's team. Bolivia descended into crisis under Goni's rule, and he was ultimately forced to resign.

Following a successful heist, modern day Robin Hoods Alejandro Toledo (Fernando Colunga) and Emilio Sánchez (Miguel Varoni) leave their lives of crime for a more civilian life. Ladrones sees Toledo return to his do-gooder robbing roots, and although Sanchez can’t quite commit to helping out, he introduces Toledo to the hilariously skilled Santiago Guzmán (Eduardo Yáñez) to help him with the mission of a lifetime. The two must work to reclaim land stolen from a hard working community by a ruthless family of crooks led by a beautiful but lethal diva.
