The true WWII tale of the epic battle to take the infamous Japanese stronghold, Hacksaw Ridge. The unlikely hero who turned the tide of the violent and bloody battle was a soldier who refused to bear arms, American Army Medic Desmond T Doss (Andrew Garfield), whose heroism turned him from a pariah to a hero in the eyes of his fellow soldiers, and led him to become the first Conscientious Objector in American history to win the Congressional Medal of Honor.
